ADAIR'S GAZE
This project is the counterpoint to my artistic work. In it, the protagonist is my mother, who at 70 years old, and with vision in only one eye, embraced photography and reinvented herself as an artist.
Her everyday gaze captures the presences that shape her days—flowers, animals, people. In a powerful inversion, she photographs me and also turns to herself, in a gesture of self-affirmation and curiosity. The result is this archive: her world, with its rules, its beauty, and its mysteries.
