Dariane Martiól (Coronel Vivida, PR, Brazil – 1988)

​

I am an artist and researcher. Between philosophy, myth, and the body, I find in art a space for fabulation and for the transformation of affective relations. Since 2021, I have been developing a body of work in co-authorship with my mother, Adair Martiól, in which we investigate motherhood, aging, dementia, and eroticism as territories of creation and thought. The figure of the Centaura traverses my work as a metaphor for the transvaluation of morality and the celebration of animality, sustaining an Erotic Ethics in which the body is language, deviation, and potency. Without denying what is ambiguous, abject, or what bleeds, I understand artistic practice as an exercise in metamorphosis—a gesture of care that transforms living into thought and thought into flesh.My research is, above all, a radical affirmation of life.​
