Between mother, daughter, and other species
Dariane Martiól
Poems
Started in 2022, this series brings together poems that imagine the relationship between mother and daughter from different species. In an ironic and tragic tone, the voices intertwine in small ethnological fables that observe, with a non-human gaze, the forms of affection, hierarchy, and survival that permeate life.
Written by hand on lace napkins, the poems transform the domestic gesture into a field of poetic investigation into instinct and connection, revealing that love, in any form, is always a territory of conflict and metamorphosis.
